‘Growing For Gold’ is the annual competition for gardeners throughout Sherborne. It is held to promote Sherborne In Bloom, that is, to encourage gardeners to create colourful displays that will both enhance the town and impress the Britain In Bloom judges!

Trophies have been donated by our sponsors and are awarded for the following categories:

• Most Imaginative Front Garden
• Captivating Containers
• My Secret Garden
• Best Overall Use of Allotment
• Best Pub/Restaurant/Hotel Floral Display
• Best Shop Front
• Most Imaginative Garden Design in Quarr Lane Park

Photographers from Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club will be roaming the town throughout the season, taking photographs of gardens and floral displays that catch the eye. The judging of Growing For Gold takes place from these photographs, which will be on public exhibition during July.
